The Travel Authentic Philippines Travel Update aims to give you an idea on what to expect regarding safety and security during your visit of the Philippines. We will update this every three months and if necessary we will issue updates inbetween.
Having studied many of the travel advices of foreign embassies we have found that the travel advices of most foreign consulates and ministries are not regularly updated, not based on facts on the ground and contain outdated information. To give potential tourists more accurate and up-to-date expectations of safety when traveling to the Philippines, we have decided to issue our own travel advice.
We will update this document every three months. If in the meantime something happens that necessitates a significant change in the situation we will notify you immediately.
We will base ourselves as much as possible on facts on the ground and on credible information from our nationwide network and from local authorities.
The travel advice of most foreign embassies and ministries are not regularly updated, not based on facts on the ground, full of possible threats, and containing outdated information. We hope to give you a detailed, realistic and credible impression on what you can expect if you intend to travel to the Philippines.
